About
I am a PhD candidate at Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna (FaBiT), specializing in Medicinal Analytical Chemistry. For six months, I was a visiting researcher at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) in Munich, in the Department of Pharmacy, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Oliver Scherf-Clavel.
Research interest
My research focuses on the analysis of biologically active compounds in complex matrices, with particular emphasis on microsampling techniques and miniaturized sample preparation strategies. This includes the development and validation of LC–MS/MS methods and the evaluation of different sampling devices.
At LMU, my work focused on the quantification of the anti-cancer drug Bortezomib in whole blood using volumetric absorptive microsampling (VAMS) coupled with HPLC-MS/MS to enable minimally invasive sampling and support improved therapeutic drug monitoring.
